UN PUNTO DE ENCUENTRO MULTICULTURAL
Nueve asociaciones españolas se federan para mantener este Centro desde 2014.
Se financia totalmente con las aportaciones de esas asociaciones cuyas principales fuentes de ingresos son cuotas de socios e ingresos de actividades. Apenas llega dinero público. Esta financiación es precaria y la continuidad de este fundamental punto de encuentro de españoles e hispanófilos está amenazada.
Por eso te necesitamos.
Porque sería una pena que cerrara. Todos los días de la semana el Centro desborda actividad. Hay conferencias, tertulias literarias, clases de idiomas, encuentros gastronómicos, torneos de mus, baile, música, reuniones, debates, cuentacuentos, manualidades, yoga, películas infantiles… Y atendemos a quienes vienen a visitarnos, en particular emigrantes recién llegados, a los que ayudamos en la búsqueda de su camino.
Pero también hay momentos de calma cuando uno puede evadirse en una biblioteca abierta todas las tardes. Con 3000 volúmenes, la más amplia en lengua española de la Gran Región, es un entorno acogedor para leer, escribir, pensar o navegar con el wifi gratuito.
Dos voluntarios aseguran que el Centro funcione a diario, apoyan a las asociaciones y difunden el programa de eventos por las redes sociales.
Nuestra prioridad es facilitar la mezcla cultural. Por eso organizamos charlas en español y clubs de lectura a los que también acuden quienes están aprendiendo nuestra lengua. La tercera parte de nuestros socios no son españoles. Abrimos nuestras puertas especialmente a asociaciones de países de América Latina.
De ti depende que el Centro Español siga abierto. No lo dejes caer. Acude a la fiesta de disfraces del 14 de enero para celebrar el Año Nuevo, ayúdanos y pásatelo bien.

A MULTICULTURAL MEETING POINT
Come and enjoy some spanish food (tortilla, empanada, meetballs, cakes, wine, hot chocolate, etc.), participate in theater, flamenco, salsa, zumba and crafts workshops, and have a look at our stands with crafts and information about the spanish associations in Luxembourg.
OUR HISTORY:
Nine Spanish associations have come together to be able to sustain the Spanish Center since 2014.
It is fully financed with the contributions these associations make, whose main source of income comes from membership fees and different activities they organize. Hardly any public money arrives, so the continuity of this fundamental meeting point for Spaniards, Hispanics and those who want to learn about this culture is threatened.
That’s why we need you.
Because it would be such a shame to close the Center. Everyday it overflows with activity. There are conferences, debates, book presentation, language classs, gastronomic meetings, handcrafts, yoga, children’s movies, dance lessons, mus tournaments (a super fun spanish card game) and so much more. And we serve those who come to visit us, in particular, newly arrived immigrants.
There are also moments of calm in our library, with more than 3000 volumes of Spanish and Hispanic literature, a great place to read, write, think or navigate with free Wi-fi.
Two volunteers ensure that the Center works daily from 12h00 to 19h00. Our priority is to facilitate cultural interchange and collaboration with different associations specially, but not only, those from Latin American countries.
Come and share with us this 14th of January, celebrate the New Year, eat some delicious food and have tons of fun while helping us maintain the Spanish Center.
